Embody the text and invite the congregation to encounter God in it. Show, don't just tell.
Read the scripture, ask a piquant question and then ask us to discuss it in small groups. There are no right or wrong answers.
Lead the community in voicing protest, anger, and sorrow. God can take it.
Use silence, scripture, and music from the Taizé community to shape the community's common prayer.
Go to the text. Listen. Tell us what you heard.
Preach to the Table. Compel us to come hungry. Faculty declare the promises of the gospel that are sealed in the sacrament.
Let the text provide the themes, characters, language, structure and mood for a time of corporate intercession.
Let the Scripture come alive in the silences between repeated reading.
Add pictures if you want.
Allow the scripture to frame a portion of your story of faith -- what has God been doing in your life lately?
Shape a dialogic service of worship -- an encounter between God and God's people -- primarily through song.
Do something familiar and fitting -- but do it in a new and creative way. Freedom!
